The goal of the Athletics Compliance Office is to: educate recruits, student-athletes, coaches, staff, fans, former students and others who work closely with Texas A&M Athletics about NCAA, conference, and University rules that impact Aggie Athletics; monitor all aspects of the University’s athletics programs to ensure compliance as well as identify and report to the NCAA all instances in which compliance has not been achieved, and affirm that appropriate corrective actions are taken; and encourage everyone to ask before they act when in doubt as to the compliance of past or proposed actions.

The Property Management unit of Financial Management Operations is responsible for the overall accounting management of capital and controlled assets for TAMU and TAMUG. Any changes made to assets are submitted to the TAMU Property Management Department and those would be reflected in the Fixed Asset Module (FFX) of FAMIS. The job of Property Management is to insure that correct procedures are followed, assist TAMU and TAMUG Departments in managing and accounting for their inventory by tracking assets from acquisition to deletion, and accurately reporting to the State of Texas Comptroller the required asset data.

Timely warnings of emergency conditions are essential to preserve the safety and security of the University community and critical to an effective response and recovery. In the event a crisis occurs on University property, the Code Maroon emergency notification system will notify students, faculty, and staff of emergency information via text message, TAMU email, KAMU-FM radio, campus cable television, Emergency Alert System (EAS) radios, computer alerts (pop ups), classroom alerts, Twitter and RSS.

UPD has 139 authorized positions including 70 state certified Police Officers, 46 Security Officers, Communications Officers, 7 administrative support personnel, and 4 Records Technicians. The department maintains a fully staffed investigations division, a crime prevention unit, a recruiting unit, a training division, a victim advocate, and an Emergency Communications Center.
